AC Hewitt Development officials announced they hired Kaylie O’Connor as an associate earlier this year.

In her new role, O’Connor is responsible for property management of the company’s portfolio, including the Bottle Works building in Wilmington's Soda Pop District, as well as marketing, analytics and project management, according to a news release. She will also play a strategic role in future development projects.

She joins AC Hewitt Development with over five years of real estate development experience. She was co-developer and operator of The Hive, a downtown Wilmington boutique hotel that opened in 2019 "using an innovative, invisible-service model," the release stated.

O'Connor previously worked for global advertising agency TBWA/Chiat/Day in Los Angeles. In addition to real estate and hospitality, she has extensive experience in business development and marketing for small to mid-size businesses, according to the release.

Originally from the mountains of North Carolina, she earned her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. O'Connor and her husband reside in Carolina Beach with their four sons. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, reading, long beach days and cheering on her sons on the lacrosse field.
