Freshman State Sen. Thom Goolsby received confirmation today of his appointment to several committees, including co-chairman of the Appropriations’ Justice/Public Safety committee, which he will share with Senate Majority Leader Harry Brown.
About today’s first day of the new legislative session, Goolsby described Raleigh as “quite festive.”
He has been appointed to the Commerce, State and Local Governments and Education/Higher Education committees. He said he co-sponsored his first bill, which will abolish the cap on charter schools.
