Downtown events space opens

Downtown Wilmington is home to a new, 3,000-square-foot venue for special events. Events! On Front opened officially Monday with a ribbon cutting reception.

Nancy Bullock, owner of 130 N. Front St., transformed a former restaurant space in her building into Events! On Front. The facility includes a hardwood dance floor, a stage for band or DJ, a bar, a 925-square-foot kitchen and carpeted space equipped with tables and chairs for meals or receptions.

“We have the capacity to accommodate groups of up to 197,” Bullock said. “If the dance floor and stage are to be reserved for dancing, we can seat approximately 150 for dining.”

Use of the kitchen is included in rental fees, Bullock said. Those renting the space can use their own caterers.
