Two downtown Wilmington parking lots are up for grabs.

Brian Eckel, co-founder of Wilmington-based Cape Fear Commercial along with fellow broker Hank Miller, announced Wednesday plans to sell nearly 0.2 acres at 119 Market St., and about a quarter of an acre at 126 Princess St.

Eckel said the Market Street property was listed for $295,000. The Princess Street parcel is priced at $505,000.

Located in the heart of downtown, the Market Street property was initially approved by the Wilmington Historic Preservation Commission to house an $18 million, 10-story condominium development with retail at the ground level. But after the housing crash of 2008, the plan – which was proposed by developer Jim McFarland – was shelved and never got off the ground.

Eckel said both properties could be used for residential, office, mixed-use or hotel purposes.
