Tidewater Equity Partners, a Wilmington-based private investment firm, has announced the addition of Adam Keen to its leadership team, according to a news release.

Keen joins Tidewater as a partner, primarily engaged in the firm’s deal sourcing and fundraising activities, officials with the company said.

“We are excited to have Adam join the Tidewater team,” Merrette Moore, managing partner of Tidewater Equity Partners, said in the release. “Adam is extremely well-respected in the Wilmington business community and beyond. He will be a great asset in Tidewater’s continuing efforts to identify and fund compelling investment opportunities.”

Prior to joining Tidewater, Keen spent the past three years as a national account manager at Wilmington-based MegaCorp Logistics. He previously worked for five years at the University of North Carolina Wilmington within the University Advancement office, including leading the major gift fundraising activities for UNCW Athletics.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Tidewater leadership and helping the firm build on its early success,” Keen said. “I look forward to leveraging my operating company and fundraising experience in working with both current and future Tidewater portfolio companies.”
