Joann Kimball
Joann Kimball recently joined the Southport office of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage.

“Joann is veteran agent with a thorough knowledge of our local housing market,” stated Kimberly Sands, managing broker, in a news release. “She has effectively combined this with her background in hospitality to build an outstanding reputation.”

Kimball grew up in Southport and she and her husband, Brian, a licensed general contractor, operate a residential construction firm, according to the release. Along with offering professional assistance with building and purchasing custom homes, she also assists clients with residential resales and commercial interests across Brunswick and New Hanover counties.

“Working with Brian for many years has taught me so much about interior and exterior design, building materials, construction practices, permitting, zoning, you name it,” Kimball said in the release. “I love sharing this knowledge to help my clients make the best possible decisions.”

Kimball’s background also includes working as the co-owner of Loco Jo’s Bar & Grill in Southport.

“It can be tough not to go crazy in the restaurant business, so the grill was definitely aptly named,” Kimball said in the release. “What kept me positive and motivated was the chance to interact with my customers and friends on a daily basis.”

Transitioning to real estate allowed her "to combine her love for working with people with her passion for helping people achieve their goals," the release stated.

Kimball said in the release, “My mother was Vietnamese and my father an American. They brought me here at a very young age and I’m living the true American dream. I love having an opportunity to help my clients do the same.”
