Clancy & Theys recently announced the promotion of Joe Rider to the position of director of operations of the construction company’s Wilmington division.
With 17 years of construction experience, including seven years with Clancy & Theys, Rider brings a wealth of expertise to his new role, according to a news release.
“We are thrilled to have Joe at the helm of our operations team,” stated Mike Goodson, vice president and Wilmington division manager, in the release. “His proven leadership skills and ability to serve as mentor in training for all members of the project teams make him the best candidate for this position.”
As director of operations, Rider will oversee all operational aspects of the company’s projects in the Wilmington area. Since joining Clancy & Theys, Rider has held several key positions, including project manager, senior project manager and project executive before being promoted to his current role.
"His career has seen him play integral leadership roles in a variety of public and private market projects, including commercial upfits, education facilities, healthcare facilities and hospitality projects," the release stated.
Notable among Rider’s recent achievements include high-profile projects such as Wilmington’s Haynes/Lacewell Police and Fire Training Facility, Riverfront Park and the Aloft Hotel, according to the release.
