The surgeons and staff of Surgical Eye Care, which has offices in Wilmington, Supply and Kenansville, recently congratulated Dr. Sam Schadt on his invitation to participate in the 2024 American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgery.
The event was held in Deer Valley, Utah. Schadt was one of 20 eye surgeons selected from throughout the United States for the opportunity, according to a news release.
"This program represents an exciting recognition of Dr. Schadt as an up-and-coming Key Opinion Leader in the field of Innovative Refractive Cataract Surgery," the release stated.
After graduating from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Schadt completed his ophthalmology residency at Nova Southeastern University in South Florida, serving as chief resident in his final year, according to his Surgical Eye Care biography online.
During his residency, Schadt presented his research at the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
