Six new members were elected to the Friends of Public Radio Inc.’s Board of Directors at WHQR’s annual meeting on June 20, according to a news release.
The new members are:
Nathaniel H. Cook, Associate Attorney, Block, Crouch, Keeter, Behm & Sayed, LLP
John Frye, retired Executive Director, Trinity Landing
Velva Jenkins, CEO, YWCA Lower Cape Fear
Tori Jones, Owner/President, Clove Marketing
Kimberly Loney, Financial Advisor, Edward Jones
Seth Smiley, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer, GE Hitachi Nuclear

They join current board members Richard Clerkin (Chair), Samantha Dooies, Stephen Fortlouis (Treasurer), Shelly O’Rourke, Diane Pappayliou, Adrian Varnam (Vice Chair), Lori Wainright (Secretary), Kitty Yerkes and Rob Zapple. Retiring from the board are Tim Costello, Kelly Luckhaus, Kristine Moore, Bill Sharo and Brian Victor
