Thomas Construction Group promoted Derrick Nobles to preconstruction manager, marking his official addition to the firm’s leadership team.

Nobles, who has been with Thomas for over six years, previously served as a senior estimator, "playing a key role in driving project success through estimating and preconstruction planning," according to a news release.

As preconstruction manager, Nobles will oversee the firm’s estimating operations, guiding the preconstruction team in evaluating project specifications, analyzing budgets and developing cost-saving strategies, the release stated.

"Derrick’s expertise, leadership, and dedication to delivering high-quality preconstruction services make him a natural fit for this role," said Jim Hundley, executive vice president, in the release. "His ability to align project costs with client expectations while maintaining realistic and achievable budgets is invaluable to our team and clients."

A graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor's degree in construction management, Nobles "brings a deep understanding of construction methodologies, industry trends and market conditions," the release stated.
