Cal Morgan of the Wilmington-based real estate appraisal firm JC Morgan Co. has been reappointed to the N.C. Appraisal Board for a third three-year term by North Carolina Speaker of the House Destin Hall.
The state appraisal board is responsible for the licensing, certification, education and regulation of real estate appraisers and appraisal management companies throughout North Carolina, according to a news release.
"The board's mission is to protect the public by ensuring that appraisers are properly trained, qualified and held to the highest professional and ethical standards," the release stated. "The board also investigates complaints, enforces appraisal laws and regulations and works to maintain public confidence in the real estate valuation profession."
Founded in 2010, JC Morgan Co. is a commercial real estate appraisal and consulting firm that provides real estate appraisal and valuation services throughout North Carolina for lenders, attorneys, property owners, developers, investors and governmental entities.
