Dark Horse Studios Rebrands To Dark Horse Stages

By Staff Reports, posted Aug 7, 2024
Dark Horse Studios Inc. announced a “strategic rebranding” on Wednesday.

The Wilmington-based provider of film production stages is now Dark Horse Stages Inc., according to a news release.

The release stated that the new name and branding reflect “the company’s core focus on leasing state-of-the-art sound stages, support spaces and offices to film and TV productions.”

Kirk Englebright, president and CEO of Dark Horse Stages, stated in the release, “This rebrand better aligns our identity with our role in the film community. As Dark Horse Stages, we emphasize our commitment to providing world-class facilities that empower creators to bring their visions to life. Our new identity provides clarity that we do not produce content but rather we support creators.”

Dark Horse Stages is completing its third and fourth stages.

“At 40,750 total square feet, Stages 3 and 4 are purpose-built to meet the evolving needs of modern production teams,” according to the release. “These new facilities are pre-booking now, and plans for a grand opening in the fall are underway.”

Englebright said, “The timing couldn’t be better with anticipated growth in production activities and resolved industry challenges.”
