New Hanover Health Advantage, a New Hanover Regional Medical Center affiliate, will offer two comprehensive Medicare Advantage and prescription drug plan options next year for residents of New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick counties, officials announced recently.
 
New Hanover Health Advantage is offered in partnership with FirstCarolinaCare Insurance Company and is sponsored by New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
 
Benefits include a $0 premium option, the option to see any Medicare provider, a prepaid over-the-counter medication card, the release stated.
 
The annual enrollment period, which started Oct. 15, ends Dec. 7, with coverage starting Jan. 1.
 
The health system plans to hold virtual information sessions Monday- Friday through Nov. 17 (presentations in Spanish every Wednesday). Those wanting to participate in the sessions, can click here and register for a date.
