Joseph Conway helps the city design a five-year strategic plan to improve understanding, equity and civic inclusion. He uses technology to review quantifiable and qualifiable peer-reviewed research and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) best practices and to read stories about the personal impacts of biases, looking for case studies.

Conway loves foreign and domestic martial arts films as well as Dune, G.I. Jane, A Few Good Men and I Am Not Your Negro about the life and works of James Baldwin.
