On July 4th, while the United States celebrates its Independence Day, our business proudly marks its second anniversary. This milestone is more than just a celebration of time; it’s a testament to the hard work, vision, and resilience that my team has demonstrated day in and day out!
Interestingly, there are remarkable parallels between starting a business and the founding story of the United States. Both journeys are defined by the pursuit of freedom, overcoming adversity, and the relentless drive for making our communities a better place to work and live.
The Quest for Independence
In the early stages of our business, just like the colonies, we faced unchartered territory of building something from scratch. There were questions about whether we could succeed, whether our ideas were viable, and whether we had the resilience to endure the challenges ahead. Yet, just as the colonies declared their independence in 1776, we too made a bold declaration to carve our own path, driven by passion and the belief in our vision.
Overcoming Adversity
In our first years, we encountered numerous obstacles. There were financial hurdles, logistical challenges, and the constant drive to prove our business model and value proposition. But unlike the founders of America, we had an incredible support system and infrastructure behind us, specifically The Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, The Greater Wilmington Business Journal, our Customers, Supporters, Mentors, Family and Friends that believed in our vision and mission to make the world a better place through small business development.
Building a Foundation
Just as the founding fathers emphasized unity, collaboration and entrepreneurship, our team focused on building a culture and environment that catalyzes the same spirit, with the additional aspect of providing an exceptional customer experience for everyone that we encounter. Our team, our clients and our partners are all CUSTOMERS, in the fact that our whole reason for being is for the support of our customers.
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate this milestone on July 4th, we are reminded of the values that have guided both our business and the founding of the United States: freedom, determination, and the pursuit of a better future. These values will continue to inspire us as we embark on the next chapter of our journey.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past two years. Here’s to many more years of success, growth, and the relentless pursuit of our dreams. Happy birthday to our business, and happy Independence Day to the United States of America!
