Online Auction and Estate Sales Brand Launches New Custom Platform

Sponsored Content provided by Jessie Powell - CEO, Wide Open Tech

A veteran-owned and operated online auction estate sale company headquartered in Northern Virginia is set to officially launch its new online auction website on September 1, 2021, with the help of Wilmington’s local custom software development team, Wide Open Technologies.

“There were absolutely no existing online auction platforms capable of supporting our requirements,” said Bryan McDaniel, owner of ezDownsizing. “A very good friend suggested to me, ‘You need to talk to Wide Open Tech.’”

ezDownsizing.com began working with Wide Open Tech in late October of 2020 with the goal to completely modernize and revamp their current platform by adding innovative features, along with a new look and feel. The company was founded by Bryan McDaniel, a retired Marine who spent more than 23 years on active duty. McDaniel’s vision was to create and develop an accountable, personable, and professional online auction estate sale company capable of serving the needs of a wide variety of customers, regardless of their situation.

As both a certified personal property appraiser and licensed auctioneer, McDaniel brings fine-tuned expertise cultivated over decades of experience in the auction and estate sales industry, which has played a huge part in developing the forthcoming new website.

“Everyone likes shopping online and particularly from their mobile devices,” McDaniel said. “The site was designed as a streamlined means of creating online auction estate sales for sellers while providing thrifters, collectors and estate sale enthusiasts the convenience of shopping locally by bidding and buying online.”

The team at ezDownsizing intends to maintain the legacy version of their application for a currently undetermined amount of time while they transition auctions and users to the new version of the website. Both the new auction platform and the legacy version will be accessible from the main company website at ezdownsizing.com under the “Auctions” tab. Users can also visit the new web platform by visiting ezbidders.com, which will also include a quicklink back to the legacy version.

What Can Users Expect with the New ezDownsizing Platform?

Along with a much more modern, sleek design and user experience, the new platform also comes with a platter of fancy new features that sellers and buyers may not have seen on other platforms in the industry such as:

●  Interactive tones for winning bids and outbid notifications

●  Mobile applications for both IOS and Android devices

●  Advanced search options for searching multiple auctions at once

●  Sellers may create and conduct their own online auction events

●  Seller teams may be created with specified privileges for individual users

Other features specifically for sellers:

●  Ability to easily manage auctions and team members who are handling your auctions.

●  Streamlined and simplified invoicing with fully downloadable .csv files and PDFs.

●  Comprehensive sales reporting and bidding performance visibility.

●  Ability to add multiple file types to auctions such as photos, video links, and

PDFs.

Features specifically for bidders:

●  Ability to easily search for auctions by location.

●  Enhanced item descriptions/details.

●  Additional auction media such as images, video links, and PDFs.

●  Real-time auction notifications.

McDaniel and the ezDownsizing team are working closely with Wide Open Tech to also launch their platform as a full-fledged mobile application, which will not only allow buyers to bid on items more easily from their mobile devices but will also allow sellers the ability to upload auction content without internet access, as well as manage auctions on the go. The company expects to launch the mobile application features incrementally over the course of the next few months following the desktop platform launch.
