Case Study: Tribute Companies Uses Teleco For Integrated Communications Solution

Sponsored Content provided by Joey Stone - General Manager and Vice President , Teleco

Tribute Companies is a group of individual companies that collaborate to develop and manage real estate and provide capital for partnership investments. All of the companies that make up Tribute are owned and directed by Mark L. Maynard Sr. Tribute has developed and constructed more than 6,000 apartment units and currently owns and manages more than 5,000. Tribute’s goal is continuous growth and strong investment, which the firm achieves through its commitment to integrity, extraordinary customer service, and excellence in product quality.

The Problem:

As a company with a large number of assets spread across a large geographic region, keeping in close contact was a constant challenge for Tribute. The company’s existing communications solution was just not up to the challenge. Tribute decided that it needed to get all of the properties that the company managed on a single, unified platform that could be easily managed and maintained from a single, centralized location.

The Solution:

Shane Oxford knew the system he wanted and the vendor to get it from. “Teleco of Wilmington is the local vendor here, and I have a working relationship with Joey Stone personally going back more than 10 years.” Oxford said. “Teleco sold me a Star2Star system when I was at a previous company. I’d done all the research and comparisons before, and I knew that Star2Star was what we wanted.”

The Result:

As expected, the installation went smoothly.

“Joey’s team definitely does an excellent job on site,” Oxford said. “Everything, starting with site visits, went as smoothly as you can imagine.”

The results have been excellent, he said. “I love the features. Nothing else compares,” Oxford said. “I love the disaster avoidance and recovery. There aren’t too many systems out there that can do what these can.”

Some of Tribute’s favorite Star2Star features include auto attendants, built in scheduling, faxing, StarScopeTM 2, chat and the Application Framework.

“Everything that’s built in or we added, we use regularly,” Oxford said.

More importantly, Tribute continues to be impressed with Star2Star going forward. “I’m currently beta testing a new reporting tool. I’ve been waiting for something like this for years, and it’s finally at my fingertips,” he said.” I love how Star2Star is continuing to grow as a company and to advance and develop its product even more.”
