Economic Development Part Of Community Survey

By Christina Haley O'Neal, posted Nov 1, 2019
Economic development is among topics of a survey on area residents’ perception of discrimination being conducted through a joint effort between UNCW and the local Community Relations Advisory Committee, according to a news release.

The University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Social Science Applied Research Center has partnered with the 12-member joint city/county committee to conduct the survey.

Survey participants will be questioned about their personal experiences of perceived discrimination about housing, education, government services and economic development.

The survey is being conducted to understand and address any barriers, said Evelyn Bryant, chair of the C-RAC, in the release.

Results from the survey will be announced in January. The survey will run until Nov. 17, and a random phone survey will be conducted by UNCW research assistants.

Access the survey here.
