Nonprofit Launches Campaign To Fund New HQ

By Staff Reports, posted Feb 22, 2023
Wilmington nonprofit Welcome Home Angel has started a campaign in hopes of funding its new local headquarters.

The 125 for $25 campaign aims to find 125 supporters willing to pledge $25 a month.

Welcome Home Angel renovates and remodels living spaces of chronically ill or injured children to ease burdens on families. Ramps, door widening to accommodate a wheelchair and specialized technology are among examples of upgrades the nonprofit installs for those it assists.

A new headquarters will serve as the organization’s Mission Center, which will operate as a hub with additional office space available to similar organizations and businesses.

The organization anticipates a trifold increase in the need for its services, “necessitating multipurpose space to receive room makeover deliveries, create assembly areas for furniture, and a space to meet with families, volunteers, and design teams,” according to a news release.

“The group is eyeing the Triangle area as a potential new expansion market in 2023 based on community response,” according to a news release.
