WHAT SERVICES DOES YOUR COMPANY PROVIDE, AND HOW DO YOU HELP CLIENTS MAINTAIN HEALTHY, WELL-FUNCTIONING PONDS?
CO-OWNER GABRIEL LEGERE: “High Water Pond Management provides comprehensive pond and stormwater system management services, including algae management, erosion repair, fish stocking, aeration system installation and maintenance, invasive species control, water quality management and overall pond beautification. We specialize in working with property management companies and developers that rely on stormwater ponds. Our approach focuses on long-term health rather than quick fixes, combining proactive maintenance, environmentally responsible treatments and consistent monitoring to ensure ponds remain both functional and visually appealing year-round.”
HOW HAS YOUR COMPANY GROWN AND EVOLVED IN RECENT YEARS?
LEGERE: “In recent years, we’ve experienced strong growth by expanding both our service offerings and our client base throughout the coastal North and South Carolina region. A major driver of that growth has been the rapid development in New Hanover County, Brunswick County and the surrounding areas. As more communities are built, the demand for reliable stormwater management has increased significantly. We’ve been able to position ourselves as a trusted partner for property managers navigating that growth. At the same time, we’ve invested in better equipment, improved internal processes and implemented a more structured approach to long-term pond planning. As demand has increased, we’ve focused on building a team that aligns with our core values, allowing us to scale while maintaining the quality and consistency our clients expect.”
WHAT PAST EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE IN POND OR WATER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, AND WHAT DREW YOU TO THIS INDUSTRY?
LEGERE: “Our background comes from hands-on experience in pond maintenance, fisheries management and working directly with stormwater systems in residential communities. Both founders of High Water Pond Management graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, giving us a better understanding of the problems facing the Southeast North Carolina region.”
WHAT GOALS DO YOU HAVE FOR YOUR COMPANY’S GROWTH?
LEGERE: “Our goal is to continue expanding throughout coastal North Carolina while becoming the go-to partner for property management companies and HOAs. We’re focused on growing our team, increasing efficiency and continuing to improve the level of service we provide. Long term, we want to be known not just for maintaining ponds, but for setting the standard in the industry for communication, reliability and results.”
