What could end up being a new start for downtown redevelopment proposal Project Grace is the subject of an upcoming event.
Cape Fear Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) is hosting a luncheon program for members and guests titled Project Grace: A Conversation with the Community, according to a news release.
Cape Fear Development leaders Brian Eckel and Mike Brown will present the company's vision for working with New Hanover County on the redevelopment of Project Grace, the three-acre block bordered by Grace, Third, Chestnut and Second Streets.
"Brian and Mike look forward to sharing more about the potential of this project and hearing feedback from the audience," the release stated.
The program will be held 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 18 at Cape Fear Country Club. Tickets are $30 for Cape Fear CREW members and $35 for guests and are available
online.
Brown is a partner with Cape Fear Development and serves as a senior vice president at the firm’s sister company, Cape Fear Commercial.
"He is responsible for identifying and managing new and ongoing development projects for both entities and their clients, in addition to handling brokerage and property management responsibilities for Cape Fear Commercial’s retail portfolio," the release stated.
Eckel is a partner with Cape Fear Development as well as the co-founder and a partner of Cape Fear Commercial. He plays a critical role in identifying and managing development opportunities for the firm, according to the release.
