Several new national chains are gearing up to open in the coming weeks at Mayfaire Town Center.

Athletic wear retailer lululemon will open its doors on Friday, while women’s lifestyle brand Free People and activewear brand FP Movement will both open on Nov. 8, according to the shopping center’s website.

A lululemon-branded pop-up store opened at Mayfaire Town Center in 2021. The new expanded store will open in a 5,200-square-foot space at 6886 Main St., Unit B100 at 10 a.m. on Friday. The pop-up location’s last day of sales was Oct. 27. To make way for the expanded lululemon, Rack Room Shoes relocated into a new 4,000-square-foot space on Monument Drive, beside David’s Bridal, earlier this year.

Both Free People and FP Movement are new to the shopping center. The Free People store will occupy a 2,300-square-foot space at 6870 Main St. B110 while FP Movement will occupy a 2,200-square-foot space also on Main Street.

According to the shopping center’s website, Hickory Farms also opened Monday at 6880 Main Street. The Chicago-headquartered company sells gift baskets and specialty food items, including various meats, cheeses and desserts. In addition, Red Arrays Light Therapy Spa is listed as "coming soon" to a storefront at 980 Inspiration Drive, C105.

The new stores are among several changes at Mayfaire, a shopping center that has helped spark broader development throughout Wilmington’s Military Cutoff corridor over the years.

This summer, for example, Reeds Jewelers held a grand opening for its newly renovated and expanded store. The area also saw the opening of Wilmington’s second Potbelly Sandwich Shop location this summer and clothing retailer Anthropologie last fall.
