By Emma Dill, posted Dec 13, 2024
A local home developer purchased nearly 670 acres in Pender County last month for $16 million.

According to deed records, Cornerstone Venture Partners Inc. purchased two tracts on Nov. 26 along N.C. 210 just west of Hampstead. The corporation is registered to D Logan at the address of Logan Homes in Belville.

Logan Homes is a residential developer with communities across the Carolinas and Georgia. The company has an existing development in the Hampstead area, according to the company’s website. The community, called Bridgewater Landing, offers homes from 1,800 to more than 3,200 square feet starting in the high $400,000 range.

The recently purchased 670-acre site is made up of two pieces of land, including one 376-acre tract and another 293-acre tract, were previously owned by Indian Pond Timber LLC.

The land is currently zoned for low-density residential development. D Logan did not immediately respond to requests for comment Friday afternoon on the purchase.
