For those looking for a new place to get a sammie fix, PrimoHoagies is headed for Wilmington.

A new location is planning to open its doors in Fulton Station at 3708 South College Road.

Known for its specialty Italian subs, PrimoHoagies offers ten different hoagie-style sandwiches along with sides and desserts. The company has dozens of franchise locations, especially concentrated in the Northeast, and has the Wilmington location listed as "coming soon" on its website.

The East Coast-based chain was founded in 1992 in south Philadelphia and has over 95 locations.

PrimoHoagies' sandwiches are made with bread baked fresh every day to ensure a crunchy outside and a soft inside. Included on the menu are four different meatless options, which can be topped with eggplant, broccoli rabe and roasted red peppers.

The usual side selections such as macaroni salad cole slaw and chips are offered, or a sammie can be rounded out with marinated mozzarella balls or pepper shooters. To complement the Italian-style hoagies, PrimoHoagies offers signature potato chips in prosciutto, provolone cheese, hot capicola and genoa salami flavors.

Finish off the meal with a cookie or choose from either a dirt or rice pudding. Gluten-free customers can select lettuce wraps as a bread alternative for the classic hoagies.

Other options include hoagie bowls with all the sandwich fixings without the bread. For big crowds, an expanded catering service offers multiple food trays serving up to a group of 25.

Sandwich trays, cheese samplers and an Italian sampler made up of pepperoni bites, olive shooters and sopressata are top choices for a beach picnic or tailgating party. Every tray can be 100% customizable to meet a customer’s needs.

PrimoHoagies offers shipment of its sandwiches, sending its products to almost anywhere in the U.S. All food is shipped with sufficient coolant to assure it arrives in good condition within the transit time of one day.
