Cat and Greg Marinich, owners of Nothing Bundt Cakes at 1437 Military Cutoff Road in Wilmington, recently opened a new location in Leland’s Waterford Shopping Center.

Cat Marinich said while it wasn’t part of their original business plan to open a second location in Brunswick County, they’ve built a loyal clientele in the area that has pleaded with them to consider opening a store there.

“So we finally said ‘Let’s do it,’” Cat Marinich said. “And we think we found the perfect place.”
The new store, located at 473 Olde Waterford Way, showcases the brand’s updated “Buntique” décor, and Marinich said she’s excited for patrons to experience the new additions to the lobby.

Nothing Bundt Cakes offers celebratory Bundt cakes in three sizes and over a dozen flavors, as well as the smaller Bundtlets and Bundtinis. While there are cakes for almost any occasion, custom orders are welcome. They also offer personalized gift packaging and party supplies.

According to the company’s website, the bakery, which was founded in Las Vegas in 1997, has grown to over 500 bakery locations in more than 40 states and Canada.

While the Marinichs plan to be hands-on in both locations, they are grateful for the strong management team they’ve built since opening their Wilmington location in 2017.

“We are so proud that our phenomenal leadership team of six have all been with us since the opening of our first bakery,” Cat Marinich said. “And we truly can’t wait to watch them all shine in their new roles.”

A grand opening celebration is planned for August with details to be released via social media in the coming weeks.
