CastleBranch President Steps Down, CFO Takes Helm

By Staff Reports, posted Feb 6, 2023
CastleBranch president Greg Larnder has stepped down from his role.

CFO Joe Stewart will assume the role as president, according to founder and CEO Brett Martin in a leadership update emailed to employees Monday afternoon.

“Effective today,” Martin wrote, Larnder would step down but remain with the firm “in a new role dedicated to strengthening our influence and visibility within the professional nursing community.”

“Managing a community as large as ours in the turbulent times of a pandemic took tremendous leadership, and we thank him for his vision and strength,” Martin wrote.

Larnder had served as president since 2018, according to his LinkedIn, and previously worked with the firm as an executive management consultant.

Stewart joined CastleBranch in 2021, according to his LinkedIn. Martin told team members in the notice that Stewart “is an extraordinary leader with decades of experience leading complex enterprises” including as an Army officer. “We look forward to Joe’s leadership as CastleBranch executes on its strategic plan,” he wrote.

A CastleBranch spokesperson confirmed the leadership changes but did not immediately clarify whether Stewart would be serving as president on an interim or permanent basis. Martin did not immediately respond to a request to comment.

“2023 is an exciting year for CastleBranch,” Martin wrote in his message. As of December, CastleBranch had 420 employees, the firm shared in a Business Journal survey.
