As of this week, two sister tech companies have relocated to a common space. Computer Warriors and CW IT Support are now at 5500 Market St., Suite 100B, in Wilmington.

The new location means more physical space for CW IT Support, whose employees provide managed IT services for businesses, data backup and recovery, network security and VOIP services. It also solves a problem for Computer Warriors, whose previous location at 323 Eastwood Road is to be razed by the NCDOT project for a road expansion project, according to Brian Satz, who founded and heads up both companies.

Computer Warriors, launched in 2011, has merged its Leland and Wilmington stores, but will continue to provide on-site and remote services to customers in Leland, Satz said Tuesday. The company’s clients are largely individuals and small businesses, for whom Computer Warriors repairs computers and mobile devices and sells computers and computer accessories.

In addition to the Wilmington store, the company maintains locations in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Camp Lejeune. It employs 12 people.

CW IT Support, which split off from Computer Warriors and became its own company in 2016, also shares space with Computer Warriors in Jacksonville, but the company has purchased a separate building that is being upfitted and should open this summer, Satz said. Its 22-member staff performs much of its support work for clients remotely but can tackle problems in person at the customer’s site.

Satz, a North Carolina native, earned an undergraduate degree in management and a master’s degree in computer science and information systems at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He has been recognized as Leland’s Entrepreneur of the Year.
