Tech Wilmington: Upcoming Events Calendar

Wednesday, Sept. 4
UNCW's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship holds Welcome Wednesday when CIE staff is available to provide tours of the facility, answer questions about CIE or UNCW and connect participants to programs and ecosystem partners. Coworking is also free all day for entrepreneurs. Click for more.

Tuesday, Sept. 10
Network for Entrepreneurs in Wilmington holds a 910 Local Celebration Day on 9/10 4-6 p.m. at Ironclad Brewery. "We will have three speakers to give very brief explanations of upcoming opportunities for Wilmington entrepreneurs but there will not be panels. After the very short discussions, there will be additional time to network and get to know other event attendees," according to organizers. The event is free but registration can be found here.

Friday, Sept. 13
Sept. 13 is the deadline to apply to the RIoT Accelerator Program (RAP), a 12-week program designed to support startups and entrepreneurs. It provides resources, mentorship and connections intended to turn groundbreaking concepts into successful, scalable businesses. Click for more.

Tuesday, Sept. 17
UNCW hosts the Ocean Innovation Conference, targeting participants from venture capital, elected officials, startup founders and others. Keynote speakers are Mark Huang, co-founder of SeaAhead, an early mover innovation platform focused on ocean sustainability, and Susan Casey, author of New York Times best-sellers Voices in the Ocean, The Wave, and The Devil’s Teeth: A True Story of Obsession and Survival Among America’s Great White Sharks.
