WilmingtonBiz Talk: COVID Vaccines Update

By Vicky Janowski, posted Apr 1, 2021
Paul Kamitsuka, Wilmington Health infectious diseases physician and NHRMC chief epidemiologist, joined WilmingtonBiz Talk on Thursday to discuss updates on the COVID-19 vaccines.

Starting April 7, anyone over the age of 16 who wants the vaccine will be eligible to sign up for appointments in North Carolina. As the pace of vaccine supplies picks up, and the state eases more gathering restrictions, Kamitsuka talked about the different versions of the vaccines and what is being seen with side effects.

Kamitsuka also shared the latest gathering guidelines for people who are fully vaccinated, but he cautioned that precautions should still take place in public.
