Lisa Leath

Chief People Officer, Vantaca

Vantaca provides software for the community management industry (think HOA managers). Leath oversees human resources, shapes company culture, drives employee engagement and develops talent management strategies that attract, retain and develop talent. Leath also started this month as the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce’s board president for 2024.

Regional and national coverage keeps her informed: “The Skimm is my roll-out-of-bed quick read on today’s news. The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce’s president’s email each week is a must-read – so much great business advocacy, talent attraction and development work going on at the chamber.”

On culinary content: “I love some food shows. If I was born in another life, I’d work in food or wine. Anything David Chang, Stanley Tucci or Anthony Bourdain are always my go-to when I get free time to watch TV.”

On books: “My favorite book of all time is ‘Yes is the Answer. What is the Question?’ The concept that you can do more to make customers happy, by Cameron Mitchell, was introduced to his restaurant employees, resulting in a billion-dollar hospitality empire. The approach can be translated to any business, of any size. Great story, great reputation, great results. This is a guy to look up to!”

On her work-mobile: “I don’t know if it counts, but Wi-Fi in the car is a GAME CHANGER!
