Live Oak Private Wealth recently added attorney Amanda Miars as a wealth and estate advisor.

She joined the firm with more than 11 years of experience in trust and estate planning and business planning, according to a news release.

Miars specializes in both tax and non-tax-driven estate planning, with a significant focus on succession and exit planning strategies for businesses, the release stated.

"She will leverage this expertise to create detailed financial plans for clients," according to the release. "As an advisor, she will facilitate holistic discussions around wealth transfer, tax minimization and estate planning."

Miars received her law degree from Campbell University Law School. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelor's degrees in business administration and French.
