Kent Homes Earns Guildmaster Award

By Staff Reports, posted May 13, 2025
Wilmington-based homebuilder Kent Homes has received the 2025 Guildmaster Award from GuildQuality, according to a news release.

It's the 14th year in a row Kent Homes has earned the award "for demonstrating exceptional customer service within the residential construction industry," the release stated.

Since 2005, GuildQuality, an Atlanta-based third-party customer satisfaction surveying company, has  the Guildmaster Award to recognize and celebrate home building, remodeling and contracting professionals and their customer service levels within the U.S. and Canada, according to the release.

Kent Homes is one of eight new home builders in North Carolina recognized by GuildQuality "for consistently delivering superior customer experience," the release stated. Receiving a recommendation rate between 95% and 97.9%, Kent Homes won the Guildmaster with Distinction award.

In determining which businesses received the 2025 Guildmaster Award, GuildQuality reviewed thousands of survey responses submitted by customers of Guildmaster candidates and considered these metrics, according to the release:
  • A likely-to-recommend rate of 90% or greater for customer recommendation of the business;
  • the number of survey responses;
  • and a minimum 50% response rate or uploaded survey data for 12 consecutive weeks within the qualification year.

Ashley Kent, president and owner of Kent Homes, stated in the release, “We measure our success not by the number of homes we build, but by the satisfaction of the homeowners we serve. This recognition from GuildQuality affirms what we strive for every day – an exceptional homebuilding experience marked by communication, craftsmanship and care. It’s a direct reflection of the amazing team we have at Kent Homes, and the trust our homeowners place in us.”
