Novant Health Opens Shallotte Infusion Clinic

By Staff Reports, posted About 3 hours ago
Novant Health has opened a new infusion clinic in Brunswick County, according to a news release Tuesday.

Novant Health Infusion Shallotte opened July 21 and will operate from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to start. The clinic is located at 512 Village Road, Suite 206, in Shallotte.

The facility aims to increase access to care closer to home for residents of Brunswick and Columbus counties, the release stated.

"Patients can benefit from outpatient IV medication infusion for a number of conditions, including anemia, asthma, heart failure, inflammatory bowel disease, migraine, multiple sclerosis, osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis," according to the release.

The center will also offer chemotherapy infusions.

The release also highlighted other planned Novant Health projects in Brunswick County:
  • A new ambulatory surgery center opening this summer in the Leland area. The center will offer affordable outpatient surgical care.
  • Expanded services at Brunswick Medical Center in Bolivia, including an expanded MRI space and a cardiac catheterization lab. The lab will allow patients to receive interventional cardiology procedures, such as stent placements, without having to travel outside the county.
  • The future 20-bed Novant Health Leland Medical Center will provide hospital care to growing northern Brunswick County.
  • A future free-standing emergency department in Carolina Shores.
