Every week, UNCW’s CIE hosts 1 Million Cups Wilmington, a forum for entrepreneurs to pitch to and learn from their peers. This week's presenters are Pivot Point Advisory Group and Field Council. Click for more

As part of UNCW CIE's Innovation Forum, which hosts monthly one-hour events on regional innovation, Ulku Clark is speaking at the CIE about maritime cybersecurity, applied research and resilience across the maritime transportation sector. Click for more.

NC IDEA staff are presenting a grants information session for the fall 2026 cycle of its NC IDEA MICRO and NC IDEA SEED grants. The event is free, though registration is required. UNCW's CIE is hosting the session. Click for more

The Network for Entrepreneurs (NEW) is hosting an event as part of its Deep Dive series for founders. This session is focused on venture studios and includes speakers Matt Cimino of Amped Ventures and Brian Ruddy of 24 and Up, a Raleigh-based venture studio. Click for more

Sep. 10
The Network for Entrepreneurs (NEW) is hosting its annual investor "Buzz In" event at Cape Fear Community College's Union Station auditorium. According to NEW founder Jim Roberts, it's the "only venture capital conference east of Raleigh." Click for more

Sep. 29 
UNCW's CIE is hosting an Ocean Innovation Conference, open to investors, entrepreneurs, students and citizens. The conference is at the Burney Center and will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The keynote has yet to be announced, but the day will feature an interactive activity, networking and sessions.
