The Dog Days of Summer at Porters Neck Village

Sponsored Content provided by Lisa Polanski - Marketing Director, Porters Neck Village

At Porters Neck Village, summer isn’t just for sunhats and sweet tea—it’s for wagging tails, joyful barks, and the four-legged companions who fill our days with unconditional love. Our residents and associates share a bond through their pets that transcends generations, and this summer, we’re celebrating the pups who make PNV feel like home. Here are just a few of our treasured tail-waggers who make life brighter, funnier, and furrier.

Millie

I’m Millie, a cheerful and charming Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a true passion for chasing balls and making new friends. With my signature “royal run,” I’m often spotted dashing after my favorite toy, ears flapping and tail wagging in the breeze. Since moving to Porters Neck Village, Central Bark has become my happy place, where every visit means fun, freedom, and a fresh adventure.

Samson

Hi, I’m Samson—a straight-haired Labradoodle with a heart full of love. I started out training with Canines for Service, but life had other plans. Turns out, I’ve got a bum hip—but luckily for me, I found my forever home and an even better calling here at Porters Neck Village.

Every day, I clock in alongside my human, Susanne Delgrosso, and proudly serve as the official greeter. Whether you’re a new resident or a fresh face joining the team, you’ll get the full Samson welcome: tail wags, gentle kisses, and—if you stick around long enough—a sneak peek at my epic ball-chasing skills. I’ll chase it again… and again… and again… Seriously, can someone throw it just one more time?

Shape

Whether they’re chasing balls, making friends, or simply curling up at their owners’ feet during a summer sunset, the dogs of Porters Neck Village are treasured members of our community. They remind us daily that love comes with four paws, a cold nose, and an open heart.

Here’s to the Dog Days of Summer—long may they bark!
