UNCW’s SBTDC Invites Entrepreneurs to “Taking the Leap”

Embarking on a business journey without proper guidance can feel overwhelming. UNCW’s SBTDC (Small Business and Technology Development Center) can help you take the leap with confidence knowing you have the essential tools for success with the Taking the Leap program.
 
Taking the Leap 
The upcoming Taking the Leap program will be held September 12th, 19th, and 26th, 2024 (at no cost) and requires an application for admission. The program offers an opportunity for high-potential startups and founders to network with fellow entrepreneurs, exchange ideas, and gain invaluable insights. 
 
Participants will receive personalized guidance from experienced instructors, guest mentors, and resources including:

  • Business Plan Templates, Outlines, and Guides
  • Financial Projection Templates
  • Intellectual Property Guide 
  • Digital Marketing Strategies
  • Market and Industry Insights
  • Customer Discovery Techniques
  • Startup Checklist 
 
SBTDC at UNC Wilmington
The SBTDC at UNCW serves the counties of Brunswick, Columbus, Duplin, New Hanover, Onslow, and Pender.  The SBTDC team can help your business make better, more informed decisions. Specifically, clients work with the SBTDC to:
  • Access sources of capital and financing
  • Evaluate and improve your financial performance
  • Explore new market opportunities
  • Improve leadership skills and employee performance 
 
The business counseling services are effective, confidential, and provided free of charge to businesses and entrepreneurs. 
 
Over the past six months, the SBTDC at UNCW has added to its staff of general business counselors highly specialized, skilled professionals with expertise in Business Launch, International Business Development, and Government Contracting.
